The 2014 Walk with GRACE will be led by a contingent of five ambassadors. These cancer survivors will serve as the face of the 2014 event, and will share their stories as an encouragement to others. This year's Ambassadors are Stacy McCauley Gruber, Ingrid Olson, Janis Peterson, Larry Sebranek, and Jaxon Louis – the son of Brad & Rhonda Louis. Erin Mueller, Walk with GRACE chair, said that the ambassadors are a well-represented group of three women, one man, and a child. Mueller noted that “cancer does not discriminate.”
The community will have an opportunity to meet some of the ambassadors during the first official event on the Walk with GRACE calendar. The 2014 Kick-Off meeting will be held Thursday (May 15) night at 6:00 PM at the Phoenix Center in Richland Center.
One representative from each team should be present at the Kick-Off. Teams will receive the registration packet which will include roster sheets, luminaries, raffle tickets, and t-shirt order forms. Teams will also be able to select their team site on a first come, first serve basis. Teams should bring the $150 registration fee.
This year's event theme is Bon Voyage! We can't change the wind, but we can set the sail. The 2014 Walk with GRACE will be held Friday, August 8th in Richland Center’s Krouskop Park.
