Harpers Ferry IA – The Allamakee County Sheriff’s Office says a man from Ohio was killed in a crash on Saturday when his car went off the road and struck a tree. The Sheriff’s office received a call around 1:30 Saturday afternoon about a man trapped in a car that had gone off the road.

An accident report says 37-year-old Randall Litschgi of Cincinatti OH was traveling East on Luster Heights Road and lost control on a curve. Litschgi’s vehicle struck a tree and came to rest on its side. Litschgi was pronounced dead at Veteran’s Memorial Hospital in Wuakon.

The Allamakee County Sheriff’s Office along with the Iowa State Patrol continue to investigate. The Harper’s Ferry Fire and Rescue and Iowa Department of Natural Resources also assisted at the scene.
