Western Technical College to graduate 1,136 students

LA CROSSE, Wis. – On Saturday, April 26, Western Technical College will hold a commencement ceremony honoring 1,136 graduates from throughout Western’s district. The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m., at the La Crosse Center, located in downtown La Crosse.

Of the graduates, 527 will receive associate’s degrees and 242 will receive technical diplomas. There will be 367 (321 graduating from the Certified Nursing Assistant program, and 46 will receive other certificates.)

Speakers for the evening will include Western President Lee Rasch and the 2014 student ambassador, Krista Durnin, a first-year Administrative Professional program student. Keynote speakers will be brothers Jeff and Brian Wieser, graduates of the Wood Tech Program who were recently named the 2014 Distinguished Alumni by Western’s Alumni Association. The Wiesers are owners of Wieser Brothers General Contractor, Inc., in La Crescent.
