Monroe County authorities say they do believe alcohol was a factor in a crash that happened Friday night in the township of La Grange when a 50-year-old man from Tomah went off the road and struck two parked cars.

According to the sheriffs Department at around 8:15 PM Craig Fiedler, 50, of Tomah was traveling north on State Hwy 12 when he drove off the east side of the highway struck several mailboxes, hit an embankment, vaulted over a driveway  striking  two parked vehicles in a driveway. The homeowners at 9378 State Highway 12 came out and checked on the driver. They kept the driver there until law enforcement arrived on scene. Craig Fiedler was transported by Tomah Area Ambulance Service with non-life threatening injuries.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Tomah Area Ambulance service.

The crash remains under investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department.
