HORICON, Wis. (AP) – Wisconsin wildlife officials are planning a talk on how to determine if animals need help or should be left alone.

Department of Natural Resources Wildlife Rehabilitation Manager Mandy Kamps will lead the session on April 2 at the Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center.

Kamps plans to speak about wild animals’ place in the natural environment, their behavior patterns and how they care for their young. She’ll also talk about how to determine if an animal really needs help and who people can contact if they find an injured, sick or truly orphaned animal.
