Two injured in Town of Viroqua crash

Vernon County Sheriff John B. Spears reports a single-vehicle rollover occurred Monday morning, March 24, 2014, at approximately 9:30 AM, in the Town of Viroqua. 

The Sheriff’s Dept. says Michael A. Krueger, age 19, of rural Viroqua, WI was operating a car westbound on Cherry Grove Road, east of Orchard Road, northeast of Viroqua, WI. Krueger lost control while negotiating a curve to the right. The vehicle left the opposite side of the roadway, overturned, and came to rest on its roof in a snow bank.

Krueger and his passenger, Angelica M. Rivera, age 16, of Westby, WI suffered minor injuries and sought medical treatment at Vernon Memorial Healthcare on their own. Krueger was wearing a seatbelt and Rivera was not.

The accident remains under investigation by the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office.
