Milwaukee, Wis. – Former Green Bay Packer Gilbert Brown is asking for support from his fans today as he and the Vistelar Group kick off a bully-proofing playbook campaign in which he hopes to raise $30,000 in the next month.

The bully-proofing playbook is designed to help parents, teachers and students themselves learn the personal confidence skills to prevent youth from becoming victims of abuse.

“The bullying situation we have is very serious,” says Brown who was himself bullied as a child. “What’s needed are practical strategies to “bully-proof” our kids and empower bystanders to intervene.”

Brown is partnering with the Vistelar Group, a global conflict training organization with over 30 years of experience. It is headquartered in Milwaukee, Wis.

The public can get involved by visiting the campaign website BullyProofingPlaybook.combetween Wednesday, March 12, 2014 and Friday, April 11, 2014 to make contributions and share the details of the cause on social media.

Gilbert Brown is a former nose tackle with the Green Bay Packers who appeared in two consecutive Super Bowls and now runs a charitable foundation for youth (www.gilbertbrownfoundation.org).
