Dahl Automotive donates delivery truck to Hunger Taskforce

La Crosse, Wisconsin – Dahl Automotive, a localautomobile dealer, is donating a refrigerated delivery truck to the Hunger Task Force of La Crosse. The truck will be delivered on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at 1:00 PM to the Hunger Task Force warehouse located at 1240 Clinton Street in La Crosse. A small presentation will take place and media is encouraged to attend.

“Dahl has been part of this community for five generations and we’re proud to be able to help an organization that is so instrumental in serving our community,” said Tyler Dahl, General Manger of Dahl Automotive in La Crosse, WI.

“There aren’t words to express our gratitude to Dahl Automotive and the Dahl Family for presenting the Hunger Task Force with this vehicle. The thousands of people who are served by our 60 partner meal programs and food pantries will all benefit from our increased capability to recover and distribute more food,” said Nancy Fee, Hunger Task Force Board of Directors President. “Through Dahl’s generosity we can continue on towards our mission of eliminating hunger.”

The Hunger Task Force collects food throughout the region and deliversit to local food pantries.  It currently serves 60 meal sites and food pantries in La Crosse, Vernon, Trempealeau and Monroe Counties.  In 2012, over 863,000 pounds of food was distributed to recipient agencies.
