UNDATED (AP) – No. 9 Wisconsin and sharpshooting guard Ben Brust are winding down the regular season on high notes.
They’d like to keep their seven-game winning streak going heading into Wednesday night’s home finale against Purdue. It will be the last contest at the Kohl Center for Brust, a senior with a team-high 64 starts going into Wednesday.
Brust is coach Bo Ryan’s best 3-point shooter, though he’s had to endure a couple difficult slumps in recent weeks. But he’s on a roll the last two games, hitting 7 of 16 from long range.
Brust is part of one of Ryan’s most balanced and effective offensive teams in his 13 years in Madison. He’s the only senior in the starting lineup for Wisconsin.
