BANGOR, Wednesday, February 26, 2014 – Nearly 40 students at Bangor Elementary School will learn how to be prepared in the event of a disaster or emergency during an event at the school on Friday, February 28, 2014 at 10:00 a.m.
The students are participating in the STEP (Student Tools for Emergency Planning) program for the second year in a row. The statewide program teaches 5th graders how to be prepared for disasters, how to assemble an emergency kit, and how to develop an emergency plan with their families. The 2014 STEP program is supported by grants from AT&T, Walgreens and the Wisconsin Medical Society Foundation.
Students will hear from Wisconsin Emergency Management and AT&T officials, as well as State Representative Steve Doyle.
