Missing Vernon County inmate arrested over weekend

The Vernon County Sheriff’s offices says they have found an inmate who was out on work release on New Years day. 24-year-old Leah M. Morgan was arrested Saturday in La Crosse without incident.

The La Crosse Police Department took Morgan into custody on Saturday morning on Miller Street, after the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office issued a felony arrest warrant for escape.

Vernon County Sheriff John Spears, thanks La Crosse Police and the public for the information that led to her arrest.

Morgan’s next court appearance is scheduled for January 27th in the Vernon County Circuit Court.
