On Wednesday of this week the Kwik Trip corporation held a ribbon cutting and grand opening for its new south Viroqua store. The store is a replacement for a store that was in the same location but positioned differently on the lot. The new store is positioned farther back on the lot and the gas pumps were moved away from the intersection of Main St. and Hickory St to ease traffic congestion.

South side store manager Nancy Braaten cut the ribbon and then announced a number of donations that Kwik Trip was making to local organizations. Kwik Trip donated $1,000 to the Viroqua Food Pantry, $500 the Vernon County K9 unit and $500 to the Viroqua Fire Department.
