A sure sign of the holidays, Wisconsin’s Alice in Dairyland will cut the first “official” Christmas tree on Friday at R & S Tree Farms near Neillsville Clark County. Kristin Olson will be joined by 4th graders from Neillsville along with representatives of the Wisconsin Christmas Tree Growers Association. The official cutting is an annual event designed to recognize the 1.8 million Christmas trees harvested in Wisconsin each year and also to promote the Alice in Dairyland Finals will be held in Clark County next May.

Later on Friday, Alice will visit the new facilities at Dutch Dairy LLC and Holland’s Family Cheese plant at Thorp.
