The transition to winter can really be hard on young dairy calves, especially those in hutches. Dr. Noah Litherland is a Dairy Cattle Nutritionist at the University of Minnesota; he says as the weather gets cold, there are some feeding options you may want to consider.

Litherland will be presenting at two Calf Care Connection workshops next week in Wisconsin: Tuesday, November 12 in Fennimore and Wednesday, November 13th in Cleveland. Details are available from the Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin website.
