Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley is in the intensive care unit at a hospital after suffering a neck injury in Sunday’s 31-13 win over the Cleveland Browns at Lambeau Field.
The story was first reported by ESPN’s Chris Mortensen.
When teammate Andrew Quarless first approached Finley after he sustained the neck injury in the fourth quarter of the game, Finley told him that he couldn’t move.
Finley was taken off the field on a stretcher, but the Packers said he has movement and feeling in all of his extremities.
Finley took a hit to the head from Browns safety Tashaun Gipson. Television replay showed that Gipson’s shoulder pad hit Finley’s helmet and it was Finley that lowered his helmet, leading with the crown.
The Packers tight end finished with 5 receptions for 72 yards and a touchdown.
Finley was also knocked out of the Cincinnati game in week 3 after suffering a concussion.
