Prices decline on GDT auction

Overall prices declined 1.9 percent at the Global Dairy Trade auction on Tuesday. Three products saw increases: skim milk powder up 0.7%, rennet casein increased 1.5% and milk protein concentrate was 1.7% higher. Anhydrous milk fat declined 1.2%, cheddar cheese was 1.7% lower, whole milk powder declined 2.9%, butter was down 3.5% and buttermilk powder was 5.2% below the October 1st sale. No lactose was sold. This is the first decline in the overall prices since the September 3rd auction.
