The Monroe County Sheriff’s Department reports a motor vehicle crash that resulted in an injury to one person.  The crash was reported at 11:46 A.M. on January 8th.  The crash was located on Co Hwy BC at three tenths of a mile west of Harbor Rd in the Township of Sparta.  The driver of the vehicle that was involved in the crash is Lisa A. Hebgen, age 49, of Sparta WI.  The vehicle that Ms. Hebgen was driving is a 2005 Toyota Corolla.

Ms. Hebgen was travelling eastbound on Co Hwy BC when she was travelling through a curve.  Ms. Hebgen’s vehicle went partially onto the south shoulder and she overcorrected.  Ms. Hebgen went off the north side of the road into the ditch, hit the side of a driveway / culvert and came to rest in a yard into some small trees (still on the north side of the road).

Ms. Hebgen received non-life threatening injuries as a result of the crash.  Ms. Hebgen was transported to the hospital in Sparta (Sparta Mayo Hospital) by the Sparta Area Ambulance Service.  Ms. Hebgen was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Assisting the Sheriff’s Department at the scene were the Sparta Area Ambulance Service, and the Sparta Rural Fire Department.

The crash remains under investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department.
