DSC_0122Employees gathered outside on Wednesday as MOSA Organic Certification kicked off its new look by swapping out the old MOSA sign and completing the new look on a familiar downtown building.

With about 1500 clients, MOSA is the second-largest organic certifier in the country and the largest certifier of dairies and livestock. MOSA employees 24 full-time employees, making it one of the largest employers in Viroqua. MOSA also contracts with three dozen inspectors across the country. MOSA offers certifications services, assuring that when someone is using the Organic label, their operation –whether that’s a farm or a store or a warehouse production plant—conforms to the specific National Organic Standards.

MOSA’s executive director, Cori Skolaski, started with MOSA in January, 2013. Skolaski was the LaCrosse area’s Habitat for Humanity executive director for the previous decade. For more information about MOSA, call their offices at 608-637-2526.
