Crawford Co. Crimestoppers needs help with two crimes

Incident Case #2013-01722

On Thursday, August 22, 2013 the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department investigated a retail theft incident at Wal-Mart in Prairie du Chien. At approximately 5:06 p.m., a male Hispanic walked out of the store without paying for a cart of merchandise. The suspect was driving a blue truck; possibly an Avalanche.

Incident Case #2013-01735

On Sunday, August 25, 2013 the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department investigated a theft incident of two chainsaws from 208 Pleasant St. in the Village of Soldiers Grove. The chainsaws are suspected of being stolen sometime between August 23 and August 25. The chainsaws were described as a Stihl with a new 20” bar / chain and the other was described as a Husqvarna with a new 20” bar / chain.
