Two injured in Vernon County motorcycle crash

Sheriff John B. Spears reports a motorcycle accident on August 23, 2013 at approximately 5:15 p.m. on Cty Hwy Y in the Town of Webster near Avalanche, WI. Alan K. Wolf, 51, of Richfield, WI and his passenger Candace J. Rupple, 48, of Sussex, WI were operating a motorcycle eastbound on Cty Hwy Y. Wolf was traveling with a group of motorcycles, as the group neared the Cty Hwy S intersection Wolf was unable to stop and swerved to miss the motorcycle in front of him. Wolf’s motorcycle went out of control and overturned. Wolf and Rupple were ejected from the motorcycle and landed on the highway.

Both Wolf and Rupple were transported with non-life threatening injuries to Vernon Memorial Hospital by the Lafarge Medical Service. Neither occupant was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Assisting the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office were the Lafarge Fire Department and Lafarge EMS.
