Mike Hannewald tells Brownfield that crops around Waterville, in Northwest Ohio need some additional heat.

“We’ve been lucky this past week to have gotten back into the 80s, but the mid-80 temperatures is what our crop needs to be able to finish out and get some good dry-down for a good harvest,” said Hannewald.

Even though it appears harvest will be a little later, Mike says they have the potential for a very good crop.

“Walking into the fields, it’s pretty exciting to see what’s out there, we’re just hoping for the ideal conditions to be able to see that in the combine,” Mike said.
