A 17-year-old driver from rural Cashton was injured Wednesday evening when his car went off a curve on Dodson Hollow Road just west of Zitzman Lane in the Town of Coon.

The vehicle continued down a steep embankment before striking a tree and coming to rest. Gameson got out of the vehicle and began walking toward the nearest house for help.

Gameson was not wearing his seatbelt and both airbags were deployed in the vehicle. He suffered a left leg injury as a result of the accident and was transported to Gundersen Health System in Lacrosse by Tri State Ambulance.

Assisting at the scene were the Coon Valley First Responders, Coon Valley Fire Department, and Tri State Ambulance.
