Arrest made in Waupaca homocide case

An arrest has been made in a Waupaca County homicide, and the victim’s name has been released. The suspect is being held in the Waupaca County jail following the arrest early Friday morning. The individual was booked into the Portage County Jail on tentative charges of first degree reckless homicide and hiding a corpse, both felonies. Formal charges have not yet been filed.

The victim is 36-year-old Jamie Koch of Plover. Her body was found in the Waupaca County Town of Harrison Wednesday morning in a burned out car. Following the discovery of Koch’s body, authorities conducted a search of an apartment on Chestnut Drive in Plover.

The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department, Plover police and the state Division on Criminal Investigation, continue their investigation in Koch’s death.
