Authorities identified the man killed in an apparent accident last week.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says 19-year-old Aaron Brockman of New Lisbon was killed in a farm related accident last Friday.

The Sheriff’s Office says it was notified at 7:48 p.m. on Friday of an unresponsive male subject on Cty Hwy V in the town of Wellington. When emergency personnel arrived on scene they discovered a male victim deceased. The Sheriff’s Office says a preliminary investigation shows Brockman was struck in the head by a tow strap while attempting to free a tractor which was stuck in mud.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Kendall Fire Department, Elroy Ambulance Service and the Monroe County 911 Communication Center.

The matter is still under investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. The mans name is being withheld pending notification of family.
