MADISON, Wis. (AP) – John Burke, the president of Trek Bicycle Corp. and the brother of Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mary Burke, says Republican Gov. Scott Walker’s latest campaign ad is false and should be taken down.

John Burke told The Associated Press in an interview Thursday that Walker should be embarrassed by the ad that infers Mary Burke made decisions while at Trek about locating jobs overseas.

John Burke says he made all those decisions and his sister did not. He also says the ad implies Trek employs children overseas and that is also false.

Walker campaign spokeswoman Alleigh Marre says, “There is no disputing the fact that Mary Burke made millions of dollars off of shipping Wisconsin jobs overseas.”

John Burke spoke to the AP from France.
