WASHINGTON (AP) – President Barack Obama is hitting the road today on a weeklong push for spending on roads, bridges and other public works.

Obama will stand in front of the now-closed I-495 bridge at the Port of Wilmington in Delaware to announce a new initiative to boost private-sector investment in the country’s aging infrastructure.

The I-495 bridge was shut down in June after four of its huge support columns were found to be tilting.
