After surrendering five runs in the first inning, the Phillies rallied for five in the second off Brewers starter Wily Peralta (9-6). Ben Revere drove in two with a ground-rule double and Chase Utley had a two-run single as Philadelphia sent 10 men to the plate.

Brown hit a solo homer in the third and a two-run single in the fifth.

Lyle Overbay hit a first-inning grand slam for the first-place Brewers, who have dropped seven of eight. Scooter Gennett added a solo shot in the first and Mark Reynolds hit a two-run, pinch-hit homer for Milwaukee in the sixth.
