OREGON, Wis. (AP) – Gov. Scott Walker isn’t saying what he thinks about one of his former top aides getting a double digit pay raise in her new job as chief information technology officer for the state public defender’s office.

Walker was asked Tuesday about Cindy Archer’s raise. Walker says questions about Archer’s raise need to be answered by the public defender’s office since he has no control over what it pays its workers.

Archer is making $113,459 a year after the raise she got when moving into the new position.

Archer was one of Walker’s top aides when he served as Milwaukee County executive.

FBI agents raided Archer’s home in September 2011 as part of a now-closed John Doe probe into alleged illegal campaign work in Walker’s county office.
