BLACK CREEK, Wis. (AP) – A boy in Black Creek is recovering after a hit-and-run driver pinned him and his bicycle under a truck and dragged him along the pavement.

A WBAY-TV report says 10-year-old Jacob Gray ended up with cuts and bruises on his arms and legs.

He and his sister were riding their bikes through a grocery store’s parking lot last week when the driver struck him. Police Chief Lowell James says the driver was pulling out of a parking space and didn’t see the boy.

Jacob says his sister yelled at the driver to stop. Police say the man had to back up so the boy could get free, and then left the scene.

Police are hoping to use surveillance footage to identify the man’s black SUV.
