Two Coon Valley teenagers injured in U.S. Hwy 14 rollover

Sheriff John B. Spears reports a one vehicle rollover accident with two injuries that occurred on Monday at 10:15 a.m. The accident occurred on U.S. Hwy 14, about .3 mile West of Saugstad Road in the Town of Christiana.

A vehicle driven by Annika S. Olson, 16, of Coon Valley, Wisconsin was traveling West on U.S. Highway 14 when she went off the roadway to the right on a curve. The vehicle travelled down into a ditch and rolled over twice, coming to a rest on its top facing East.

Both Olson and her passenger, Emma Lee, 15, of Coon Valley were injured in the accident and were transported to Vernon Memorial Hospital by Tri-State Ambulance. Both were wearing their seat belts at the time of the accident.

Assisting at the scene was the Westby Police Department, Westby First Responders, Westby Fire Department, and Tri-State Ambulance service.

The accident remains under investigation by the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office.
