Crawford County Sheriff’s Department received a report of a car striking a  horse-drawn buggy on Cty Road B around 8 pm Tuesday,  two tenths of a mile east of Davig Ridge  Road in the Township of Utica.

Enos P Glick,  18, of Viroqua was operating  a  horse-drawn buggy  westbound on Cty  Road B  when the left wheel of the buggy was struck by  a vehicle traveling the same direction. Gina M Sandvick,  33, of Gays Mills was the operator of the vehicle that struck the horse-drawn buggy. Sandvick stated she did not see the horse-drawn buggy due to the sun being in her eyes while going over the hill. Perry E. Glick, 45,  and Andrew C. Shelter, 16,  both of Viroqua, were passengers  in the buggy at the time of the crash.

No injuries were reported but the vehicle and buggy sustained moderate damage.

Sandvick was cited for no insurance.
