BARABOO, Wis. (AP) – A forensic case manager recommends treatment in a community setting for a man found not to be mentally responsible for a fatal crash in Sauk County.

According to a criminal complaint, Casey Wright claimed he was trying to get away from demons when he crashed into an oncoming vehicle in August 2012 in Lake Delton. Killed was 22-year-old Lisa Mikec.

Sauk County Circuit Court Judge Patrick Taggart found the 28-year-old guilty, but not responsible because of a mental condition.

The Baraboo News Republic reports a representative of Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan, Inc. recommended Wright be released and treated in a community setting. Taggart had previously said he would sentence Wright to treatment based on the recommendation.

A formal sentencing date is not yet set.
