Today’s Racine Journal-Times is reporting that Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has spoken with the new owners of the Milwaukee Bucks, Marc Lasry and Wes Edens about investing in the team.

A Tweet by Gery Woelfel @GeryWoelfel said this week “Packers superstar Aaron Rodgers has talked to new Bucks owners Lasry and Edens about being part of ownership group.”

Lasry and Edens have said that are seeking local minority owners, in part to help pay for the cost of a new arena for the team to play in. The NBA has said that if there isn’t a new arena in place by 2017, they can buy the team back for a $25 million profit, far below what the Bucks could be worth on the open market by then.
