On February 13, 2013 at 9:35 pm the Crawford County Sheriff Dept. was notified of a one vehicle crash on Childs Hollow Rd one tenth of a mile west of Sunny Bank Ln. in the Township of Scott.
Sheri L. Schroeder age 34 of Prairie du Chien, was driving a 1998 Dodge Caravan east bound on Childs Hollow Rd. Schroeder lost control of the vehicle and went over the south side embankment. Schroeder’s vehicle traveled an estimated 80 feet through a pasture before hitting a tree and coming to rest. Schroeder was located at an address on Haney Ridge Rd and transport to Boscobel Area Health Care by Boscobel EMS for treatment of her injuries. Schroeder was charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and other charges are pending.
Assisting the Crawford County Sheriff Dept. on scene was Steuben First Responders, Boscobel EMS, Terry’s Tire and Tow, and Digger Don’s Towing.
On February 16th, 2013 at 1:51 am The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a fight in progress at Captains Daughter Tavern in the Village of Eastman, WI. Crawford Deputy arrived on scene and began an investigation which lead to the arrest of Blake A. Lund age 29 of Rural Wauzeka, and Clinton A. Lenz age 30 of Lake Mills, WI.
Both Lund and Lenz were charged with Disorderly Conduct and Obstructing an Officer.
This case remains under investigation
On February 16, 2013 at 1:32 A.M., the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a one vehicle accident on U.S. Hwy 61 and CTH W, in the township Scott.
A 2003 Ford F-150, owned by Mason Evans, Jr. and operated by Diane Evans, age 61 of Gays Mills and her passenger Mason Evans Jr., was northbound on U.S. Hwy 61 when the front left tire of their truck came off causing the truck to cross into the Southbound lane of U.S. Hwy 61 and strike the guardrail at the intersection of CTH W. After striking the guardrail, Evans was able to maneuver the truck back across the Southbound lane and into the Northbound lane, where the vehicle came to rest.
Both, Diane and Mason claimed no injuries from the crash. The truck suffered moderate damage and had to be towed from the scene by Digger Don’s Towing of Soldiers Grove.
