Suspects in Amish greenhouse burglaries apprehended

The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office is  reporting the apprehension of two people that they believe burglarized two Amish owned greenhouses in Vernon County.

The first burglary was reported to the Sheriff’s office at 12:06 p.m on May 28th, on Sand Hill Road. The second was reported on Irish Ridge Road at around 2:17 p.m. Once the report was received the information was given out to other officers working in the county. The vehicle and suspects were located and detained by the Viola Police Department. The two suspects apprehended were identified as Travis D. Chapman, 29, and Amber M. Mueller, 32, both of Hillpoint, Wisconsin in Richland County.

Investigators say an undisclosed amount of cash was taken in the burglaries.

Investigators from the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office say they will be doing more investigating into the burglaries and suspects involved, and also working with surrounding counties. Both Chapman and Mueller were released on signature bonds from the Vernon County Circuit Court on Thursday, May 29th.
